“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” -John 15:12
From the very second our campers arrive here at Camp Blessing Texas, they’re greeted by our staff and volunteer’s open arms and bright smiling faces. No matter their age, ability, special needs or not, our campers get to experience what it truly means to be the heart of our Christ-like vision of love, acceptance, and fun at Camp Blessing.
A Unique Camp Experience for Unique People
We are one of the few camp ministries in the US offering all of the traditional summer camp activities customized for full participation for all levels of ability, including wheelchair, crutch, and walker users. We believe our amazing campers, regardless of their ability level, should have all the fun summer camp has to offer. All our camp activities we offer are uniquely customized and designed to make camp easily accessible across the board. Time and time again, our campers’ excitement shines as they’re thrilled to participate in our barrier-free gamut of activities like horseback riding, archery, canoeing, fishing, swimming, ropes course, zip line, crafts, variety show, sports, water games and more.
We are designed, prepared, and adequately trained to meet the varying needs of our campers who may be diagnosed with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities. Our specially-trained and friendly staff, facility, activities, menus, and health care clinics are designed with our campers care and unique needs in mind. In all we say and do here at Camp Blessing, we aim to show our campers the magnitude of God's love as they have the time of their lives from the moment they step onto our sprawling campus grounds.
A Legacy We're Proud Of
For 15 years now, more than 5,000 campers, accompanied by over 7,500 counselors, have called Camp Blessing Texas their home away from home. We are honored to say that our campers continue to return year after year to experience the abundance of acceptance and memory-making fun that we provide here at camp each and every year.
If you’re looking for a camp for your camper with special needs this summer, we hope you’ll consider Camp Blessing Texas for your summer camp plans. Our camp for kids is non-denominational, and welcomes children, families, and volunteers of all Christian faith traditions!

We’ll see you at camp!
I went this year in July and it was fun because I had amazing friends in my cabin who helped me every day that I was there! I hope to come back next summer and meet them again! Love Annabel
