Camp Blessing Texas
demonstrates God’s Love
“I’m 14 and I have cerebral palsy. Camp Blessing is my all-time favorite summer camp! I’ve been to 4 different camps for kids with disabilities and I love this one the most because the focus is on God. It just makes you feel like you’re closer to God for the whole week. There are not a lot of camps to choose from for kids like me. I can’t even attend my own church summer camp, which is a bummer. Camp Blessing rocks!” Cameron Broyles, camper
We couldn’t have said it better than our friend, Cameron, who speaks for the hundreds of children with special needs who wouldn’t have summer camp without Camp Blessing!
Camp Blessing delivers love, acceptance and fun each year to hundreds of children with special needs, provides respite to their families while giving a meaningful mission opportunity to scores of high school and college students who come to serve. God has done incredible things in the last 11 years and we trust his plans to continue to reach this under-served population of children. We’ve been renting campgrounds since 2006 which has created significant challenges, the biggest obstacle is finding available locations to host a barrier-free camp each summer. After much research and prayer, our devoted Board of Directors has guided Camp Blessing to purchase a beautiful 158-acre retreat in Brenham, Texas right in the middle of Bluebonnet country, to build our first ever permanent home (9402 Palestine Road, Brenham Texas 77833)!
Our Capital Campaign is raising funds to customize our first camp home (click here for drone view) to allow 10-weeks of barrier-free summer use and expand the program into year-round ministry (including 2 weeks of spring break, respite weekends and more) as a self-sustaining retreat facility for churches and special needs organizations to rent the remaining 42-weeks a year.
Construction and renovation of this facility will allow Camp Blessing Tx to; expand our program to serve Houston, Brenham, College Station, Austin, and San Antonio; and convert the summer camp into a year-round, self-sustaining ministry.
We can do nothing without the support of wonderful volunteers and donors like you! Whether you share a gift or volunteer, your support transforms lives. Every Capital Campaign dollar raised goes directly to building a barrier-free summer camp adventure for children with special needs and a retreat facility for organizations and ministries who partner with us.

Construction is moving along as we prepare to open our first of ten camp sessions on June 5th, 2017. Four cabins, pavilion, custom pool and activity installation are all under way.
